Rock wool insulation is most commonly used for partition walls where EI60, EI90 or EI120 fire resistance is required. Rock wool insulation is a good choice when acoustics are a concern.  <\/p>\n<p>PIR insulation blocks are in class B-s1,d0 and meet EI30 fire requirements. The advantages of PIR insulation blocks are that they have a very high insulation value, up to twice as much as mineral wool insulation blocks.
