SANDWICH PANELS
Sandwich panels, also known as insulated panels, are a common and highly practical solution for exterior walls, partition walls and roof cladding across all types of buildings. Hýsi supplies sandwich panels for all building types, available with both rock wool and PIR (Polyisocyanurate) cores.
There is a lot to consider when selecting sandwich panels. The panels must meet the buyer’s requirements and building regulations regarding insulation values, fire protection and acoustics, among other factors. A wide range of options is available for panel appearance, colors and coating thickness. Hýsi quotes a complete solution for each project, covering the appropriate panels, flashings and fasteners, along with panel design for the building.

Rock wool panels are classified A2-s1, d0 and are well suited where high fire protection requirements apply. Rock wool panels are most commonly used for partition walls requiring EI60, EI90 or EI120 fire resistance. Rock wool panels are also a good choice where acoustic performance is a consideration.
PIR panels are classified B-s1, d0 and meet EI30 fire resistance requirements. The key advantage of PIR panels is their very high insulation value — up to twice that of rock wool panels. PIR panels are also more compact and easier to handle.
